Help us find and reward a visionary educator (or team of educators) and an exemplary leader for outstanding integration of technology into their curriculum.
ACTEM is pleased to announce the eleventh annual Maine Educator of the Year Award. The intention of the award is to seek out exceptional educators who use educational technology to impact student learning. There are two categories which educators can apply for. The categories honor one teacher and one leader who have demonstrated outstanding achievement and leadership in implementing technology to improve education.

The 2009 Designees are:
Lisa Hogan, Technology Integrator in MSAD 75, Topsham was awarded Educator Leader. Stacy Alvarez, Technology Integrator at Congin Elementary School in Westbrook was the finalist. These educators exemplify the commitment to visionary leadership in Maine schools.
The Teacher Leader for the year is Deborah C. White, Grade 2 teacher from Asa C. Adams Elementary in Orono. Gina Jandreau, grade 4 teacher at Madawaska Elementary School in Madawaska was the finalist. These educators exemplify innovative teaching in Maine schools.
