MLTI Castine Summer Institute July 23-25

2008 MLTI Summer Institute Airborne Beyond Creativity

Strap on your best attitude and be prepared to gain some altitude during
the MLTI Summer Institute at Maine Maritime in Castine July 23 through
the 25th. Three intensive, hands-on, half-day learning sessions, a
mercifully quick keynote and a BBQ to boot! What more could you want
from workshop in Maine's too short sizzling season? Entertainment you
say, with a connection?

Join Randy Judkins and some of his infamous friends for a different view
on a familiar subject. You're probably familiar with Randy's
world-renowned juggling performances, his mind-bending leadership
workshops, and his esteem-building seminars. What you may not know is
that Randy has remarkable skills in integrating technology in teaching
and learning. Ok, "remarkable" may be a bit much - how about
"astounding?" Unimaginable? That's probably is more like it!

Randy is, in fact, the alter-ego of the amazing Dr. Rhombus, the world's
foremost authority on "Mathmagics" and Harley Horatio Hotshot, native of
the streets of New York, or was that New Gloucester, anyway Hotshot
dazzles audiences with his "1000 cc, four-stroke, 2-cylinder monocycle
with power brakes, air-conditioning, overhead seat, and four wheel drive
(minus three)." There is a rumor that Horatio has in fact been hired as
the new tech coordinator in South Molunkus! We'll be working with Randy
to explore new dimensions of his skill set and ours and go way beyond
boxes, not just merely outside them!

There will be more than twenty-five great sessions from which to choose
in most, if not all the core content areas. Can't find a learning
opportunity that meets you needs? Make up your own at Inspiration
Station, a place to let those creative flag fly, and pick up a cold
drink and snack while working with trained, experienced coach/mentors at
your beckon call! Bring your most puzzling, perplexing, teaching
problems and work to solve them. Bring along a great idea, share it and
you just might win an iPod or one of many other great prizes.
