There is limited seating available on the “The CDI & CBE/Tandberg Express”, the charter bus for ACTEM members. This bus is scheduled to depart from the Portsmouth, NH Transportation Center off Exit 3A of 95 at 7am on Saturday, June 27th arriving at the Washington Hilton Garden Inn approximately 5PM. The return trip is tentatively scheduled to leave 7PM July 1 arriving early morning July 2 at the Portsmouth Transportation Center. Free parking is available at the Portsmouth Transportation Center if you wish to leave your car. Wireless Internet and electrical outlets will be available aboard the bus.
The bus will be limited to 4 people per district until Feb. 1 and then any extra seats will be filled based upon the waiting list. If you are using your $400 PD reimbursement for the bus, you will need to make arrangements with Craig Dickinson for a deposit of $125 via P.O., postdated personal check, or credit card. This deposit will only be charged if you reserve a seat and do not ride the bus.

ADDITIONAL NECC INFORMATION:
1. Conference Registration:
Save money by registering before March 31st. Please make sure you list ACTEM as your affiliate group when you register. This is important for our co-marketing agreement with ISTE. If you are using your $400 ACTEM Professional Development reimbursement for the bus and conference registration, then you will need to register and pay for the conference and you will be reimbursed after you attend the conference. This is standard procedure for PD reimbursement. The bus and conference package only covers the basic conference registration. If you want additional workshops, you will need to pay for that.
ACTEM has a special housing form for the block of rooms. Follow the directions to reserve a room in the ACTEM block. There is no online registration. The form must be faxed or mailed.
The rooms are $209 for a single or $219 for a double. According to the hotel website, this includes free wireless Internet throughout the hotel.
DC room taxes look like they are 14.5% so the actual rate is closer to $250 a night.
NECC housing is extremely limited. For other hotel options you may wish to check the NECC Travel Site
3. ACTEM Booth - For the first time, ACTEM will have a booth in the affiliates exhibit section at NECC. We are asking for help staffing our booth. If you are taking advantage of the bus/conference PD package, we ask that you also volunteer one hour at the booth during the conference. We won't leave you alone. We believe in the buddy system!
4. NEISTE Reception - New England ISTE will be holding a reception (also sponsored by CDI Computers) on Tuesday evening June 30. Come spend an evening with NEISTE President Dennis Crowe and technology educators from around New England… and cage a free supper.
5. $400 PD reimbursement - if you have already used part of your PD benefit for this year, ACTEM will prorate your remaining funds to help pay for your bus or registration. Please work with Dennis Kunces and Craig Dickinson if you are in this boat.
