Join ACTEM

Who may join ACTEM?
-Any Maine educator with an interest in or responsibility for computer technology in K-12 education are invited to become individual members.
-Non-profit institutions inside and out of Maine such as schools, school districts, public libraries, or qualified educational organizations who wish to take advantage of ACTEM's purchasing program (depending upon vendor requirements).
- Retired former ACTEM individual members.
- Vendors wishing to support the organization.

Why join?
1.
ACTEM holds four meetings each year (September, December, March and May) utilizing the ATM network to bring together members from Maine to discuss topics of common interest and concern. Sessions also provide learning opportunities on a variety of topics as well as a chance to join in roundtable discussions where members share expertise in problem solving.

ACTEM offers schools (once a $25 Institutional membership fee has been paid) significant price savings on major software lines including Adobe, Microsoft, Filemaker, Sophos AntiVirus, NoteShare from AquaMinds, Parallels, FirstClasss (Jan-June only), selected Apple titles, and subscriptions.
3.
ACTEM provides a collective voice for those involved in K-12 computer technologies in issues dealing with certification, endorsements, etc.

ACTEM sponsors the annual MAINEducation Technology Conference which in 2008 will feature pre-conference workshops on Thursday October 16 followed by an exhibitor reception and dinner. Friday October 17 the annual conference will be held at the Augusta Civic Center with Sheryl Nusbaum-Beach of Virginia delivering the keynote address.

ACTEM members also receive the Electronic Educator. ACTEM members receive special pricing through coordinated volume purchases. What does membership cost? (memberships expire annually on June 30)
Individual Membership - $10 annually
Instituional Membership - $25 annually
Retired Lifetime Membership - $50 one time charge
Vendor Membership - $100 annually
