ISTE 2023
Many educators are unable to attend national conferences because of the cost. Thanks to support from ACTEM, YOU can attend very inexpensively, The premier educational technology conference in the world! To attend a national conference there are three areas of significant cost; transportation, conference registration, and housing. ACTEM has provided significant support in two of those three areas!

Transportation
ISTE 2023 is in Philadelphia. Current airline flights costs are over $500! ACTEM has chartered a bus that you can ride round trip for a total cost of $50. The cost includes a t-shirt, snacks, drinks, WIFI and power. While you might think, “I’m not sure I want to ride a bus all the way to Philadelphia,” most who have made this trip before report that it is actually a very enjoyable ride and when you arrive in Philly, most react with “we are here already!” The bus will leave the southern Maine area on Saturday, June 24, and return in the early morning of June 29. 
Space is limited so register today to reserve your seat! We currently have 25 people registered for the bus which has a maximum of 48 seats available.

Conference Registration
For many years ACTEM has provided support for its members to attend educational technology professional development by reimbursing those who pay for their own PD. Usually, the reimbursement is capped at $400. However, if you are attending ISTE, you can be reimbursed for up to the full cost of early bird registration of $545*. To take advantage of this member benefit, there are requirements. See this web page for more information: https://actem.wildapricot.org/ACTEM-PD *ACTEM has limited the $545 PD reimbursement to no more than five people from any one school district. More people can apply from the same district, but the reimbursement will be at the standard $400 rate. You can register after March 1, but ACTEM will only reimburse you at the early bird rate of $545. |
Housing To arrange for a hotel, go to: https://conference.iste.org/2023/attend/housing.php The last time ISTE was in Philly, many Maine attendees stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn. A good choice, if they still have rooms available. Very close to the Convention Center. |
